Imagine transforming anxiety with just a thought. With AMN Calibration, this isn't just a possibility; it's a reality we are achieving one session at a time. — David Fleming
‘Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure. Unlike fear, which is a short-lived and present-oriented response to a specific threat, anxiety is a future-oriented, long-acting response broadly focused on a diffuse threat.’ Adapted from the Encyclopedia of Psychology and the APA Dictionary of Psychology. Anxiety typically describes chronic physiological adaptations to perceived uncertainties. Many individuals, perhaps due to historical and physiological predispositions, tend to project negative or even catastrophic outcomes towards situations and events that they feel they may not be able to cope with. This process, while seemingly logical, leads to chronic worry and fear-based responses that exist purely in thought and can produce debilitating behavioural changes, significantly limiting one's life experience.
Negative thoughts, feelings, and fears focus not only on the present but also dwell on the past and future, creating a never-ending stress cycle. This perpetual state teaches the brain and body—from the DNA to the firing of neural networks—to become sensitized to specific physical responses, impacting our daily lives significantly.
In many adult cases, we can delve into the relevant history that may underlie the sustained responses of the autonomic nervous system, using these as ‘reference points’ from which my process may guide me to ‘calibrate’ the body. Calibration refers to the non-invasive, intentional, energetic process through which the AMN system delivers its therapeutic effect, respecting the significant impact of our historical experiences, memories, and conditioned thought patterns on daily function.
In this article, we explore chronic anxiety as presented in a 12-year-old child, Alyson, who had no obvious history of marked emotional trauma, abuse, or distressing experiences that could explain her fear-based behaviour and limitations.
Alyson is a 12-year-old female whose initial shyness was later identified as crippling anxiety. Her parents described her as catastrophically thinking and overly fearful in various daily activities, from school to social interactions. Despite a lack of major traumatic experiences or significant medical history, Alyson's life was severely impacted by her anxiety.
AMN Approach is about more than alleviating symptoms; it's about recalibrating the individual to thrive, not just survive. — David Fleming
Alyson's treatment consisted of sessions conducted remotely over a video call, with no direct interaction regarding her symptoms. This approach utilized an adapted and evolved version of the AMN Calibrate system, focusing on identifying and calibrating relevant information through self-performed muscle tests and a visualization process.
The assessment highlighted Alyson's 'unconscious emotional resonance' (UER), describing the chronic emotional energy that influences long-term behaviour patterns. I identified several emotional conflicts associated with embarrassment, shame, humiliation and the sense of exhaustion, as well as subtle anatomical dysfunctions, such as imbalances in the Governing vessel meridian, Navel chakra, and Bladder meridian, which correlated closely with her anxiety and behavioural issues.
Low energy within the Governing vessel meridian associates with; a loss of innocence, withdrawal and apathy. Balancing this meridian brings a sense of strength, standing tall and provides the courage to face others.
The navel chakra associates with ones self esteem, self worth, and self power. By activating and balancing this chakra, we can increase our confidence, self-esteem, and personal power.
Low energy within the bladder meridian produces a state of reduced energy, fear, bitterness and can produce weak muscle tone. When balanced it sustains decisiveness, determination and clear mindedness.
There were significant findings concerning the neurological functioning and energetic dysfunctions affecting Alyson. These included imbalances in brain areas like the medial prefrontal cortex, amygdala, and ventral vagal system, along with disturbances in electromagnetic field interactions across various neural networks.
The ventral vagal system regulates the muscles of the face and head to enable social engagement via exchange of safety cues with others and acts to down regulate sympathetic nervous system defence reactions. Returning balance to the vagal system and emotion regulation neural networks is pivotal in altering anxiety based behaviour.
Despite the absence of marked traumatic events, the nuanced understanding and recalibration of Alyson's emotional and physiological states led to profound changes in her behaviour and daily interactions. Following the completion of four sessions, her parents reported dramatic improvements, highlighting the efficacy of treating anxiety with a focus on subtle energies and unconscious physiological responses.
This case demonstrates the potential of energy-based calibration in treating anxiety without needing to revisit or discuss painful memories directly. It reaffirms the power of our methodology in transforming lives by addressing deep-rooted emotional and physiological issues. If you are intrigued by the possibilities of the AMN approach and wish to experience its benefits first-hand for yourself or your family, we invite you to take the next step.
